Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA on this site and in the app. Here is where that stands.

What we have done

• Every page works from the keyboard alone, in a sensible order, with a visible focus ring and a skip link to the content.
• Text and controls are checked for contrast against the dark background at level AA.
• Headings, landmarks and labels are marked up properly, so a screen reader can navigate the page rather than read it as one block.
• Buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 pixels, so they can be hit without precision.
• Pages reflow to a phone screen without horizontal scrolling, and stay usable when text is enlarged to 200%.
• Motion is decorative only, and stops entirely if your system asks for reduced motion.
• Nothing depends on colour alone. Due dates are shown as words as well as colour.

One dark interface

Todom is dark, and there is no light version. If a dark screen is a barrier for you rather than a comfort, your browser or operating system's own contrast and colour settings will override ours, and we would like to hear about it.

Where it may fall short

This is a small project tested by hand, not by an external auditor. The live demo on the home page is an interactive area that may be awkward with some assistive technology; everything it demonstrates is described in words nearby, so nothing is only available inside it.
